A Sesame Street animation from 1979 with music composed by Philip Glass, showing geometric circle patterns.
Mentioned as an example of Sesame Street respecting children's intelligence and as an early gateway to modern classical music.

Philip Glass scored an animation for Sesame Street. this video I blame this for my interest in modern classical. I can't imagine them doing something so progressive today. But that's because they had a captive audience in the 70's.
Sesame Street had so many great creative and musical segments before it turned into the Elmo show. It didn't talk down to children or insult their intelligence. It inspired children rather than just try to hypnotize them with colors and repetition to shut them up for an hour. [LINK] this video [LINK] [LINK] [LINK]
I thought this was going to be a link to the Sesame Street animation that he scored @ this video If I had access to this sixteen years ago, I would have recreated the animations in Flash, but after Flash died out, I stopped playing in that field.
Somewhat related, but their "Geometry of Circles" was written by Philip Glass: * this video * [LINK] * [LINK]
