The book mentioned is 'Nutrition and Physical Degeneration', online version: https://www.journeytoforever.org/farm_library/price/pricetoc...

Highly recommended, at minimum for interesting historical look at various cultures with a pre-modern processed food diet. AFAIK the basic hypothesis about diet affecting face morphology holds up.

      Absolutely false.

Check out Nutrition and physical degeneration book by Weston Price.

All you need to do is to look at the pictures in the book, you don't even need to read it.

Do you have any evidence you can point to for this assertion? The book Good Calories Bad Calories has a section that reviews the literature on the subject. Disease and Western Civilization reviews specific populations in detail. Nutrition and Physical Degeneration for a geographically diverse primary source although it’s not about cancer or longevity.

      Alternative: stop eating carbohydrates.

To be fair, there are cultures where carbs were eaten and they had perfect teeth despite not having tooth brushes.

The book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration: Weston A. Price is a great one.

Even if you don't have time to read it: go through the pictures in that book.

      Enlightening.

No need for these kind of treatments.

Lucky for them though: carbs are addictive.

If you read Weston Price's Nutrition and Physical Degeneration you will see that many tribes have PERFECT teeth without even flossing.

Tooth decay is purely caused by diet.

Certain grains also cause it, not only sugar.

Rice for example is very bad for teeth (90% of people damaged teeth, acidic starch is what they assume), while potatoes are much less harmful (~10% if I remember correctly, since potato starch is alkaline).

Sodas (anything with low ph) is terrible for the teeths as it seems.

So it's also not "just carbs", but there are other factors.

So "painting teeth" with dubious chemicals is moronic since the problem is the food. If the food destroys your teeth so much, think what it does on the inside of you which you cannot see.

Eg check out this study: TOOTH DECAY IN RELATION TO DIET AND GENERAL HEALTH NILS P. LARSEN, M.D

Many ancient cultures had no flouride and had perfect teeth.

It's the diet, flouride is a bandaid.

Read Weston Price's Nutrition and physical degeneration.
