how-to and why-to guide to throwing out the old tools and methods for success and replacing them with a whole new way of living Tim Ferriss has trouble defining what he does for a living. Depending on when you ask this controversial Princeton University guest lecturer, he might answer:'I race motorcycles in Europe' 'I ski in the Andes' 'I scuba dive in Panama' 'I dance tango in Buenos Aires'He has spent more than five years learning the secrets of the 'New Rich', a fast-growing subculture that has abandoned the 'deferred-life plan' and instead mastered the new currencies - time and mobility - to create a new way of living. Why wait a lifetime for your retirement when you can enjoy luxury now?Whether your dream is escaping the rat race, experiencing first class world travel, earning a monthly five-figure income with no management, or just living more and working less, this book is the blueprint.
(That, and reading The 4 Hour Workweek. Once Tim Ferriss became famous, legions of people picked it apart and called him a bullshit artist. I took inspiration from that book, and went and lived it. 20 years after he published it I bumped into him completely by chance in a cafe in Phuket Thailand, which was an incredible moment, here were two guys, for decades just doing the thing that everyone had said was impossible or impractical, and we were two of the first to have the exact same idea and end up in the exact same place once Covid restrictions started to relax around the globe.)
I'll grant that kids significantly alter the numbers.

What I've found out, biographies are the best thing for me because I always want to know what happens next, but I also learn invaluable lessons from the biographee (just googled this term now and it exists!), so it's a nice mix of story and self-help
Not sure if anyone already mentioned this but maybe is not about the job but about how you do it.
I would recommend reading the book "The 4 Hour Workweek" from Tim Ferriss. There he gives kind of a framework on how to reduce your work time so that you can focus on what you really care about.
Like I mentioned before maybe instead of looking for a job, you just need to look for ways to make your current one more automated or how to work less on it
