The explaining theory is a little out of the box (ideas are seeds, your memory is soil, your attention is super powerful fertilizer) but if you aborb the basic concept, you will be forever changed.
That's very true. I recommend some people to read "The Four Agreements", because that thin book has real potential to improve people's lives through active and passive communication.
One of the mental models I gained from that book was (paraphrasing):
Society (other people) will try to program us with their own accumulated poison, and our job is to
(a) resist these poisonous worldviews/ideas/patterns instead of unthinkingly osmosing them "because a grown-up or peer said so", and
(b) not pass our own poison(s) along to others.
Simple but effective ideas. Similar in vibe to the book The Four Agreements.
I think I misrepresented myself. I don't expect anything from anyone, in any setting, or I don't intend to change anyone. Who am I to expect to change someone?
I just wanted to say that, I behave the way which I want to be treated. I ask myself, "what would I feel if that's done to me", and if I don't like the answer, I change myself, and try to better myself step by step.
Actually "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz sums up pretty well how I live this life. It's a surprisingly thin yet dense book. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
Looks like we try to do the same things with slightly different methodologies. My hat's off to you dear sage internet stranger.
Wish a peaceful future awaits you.
