   Never Split the difference from Chris Voss is a good book. Persuasion and negotiation are also as much about effective listening. Something I've practiced hard this year is to be mindful of creating a pause before I respond. Pause for like 2 seconds.

   Forget stock picking, it is generally a fool's errand.

   Also - Tony Robbins did a good job with his book "Money: Master the game". Look up the "All weather strategy" from Ray Dalio referenced in that book. Diversification across non-correlated assets, compounded over time creates wealth.

   Do you have any particular books to recommend? I've read Money by Tony Robbins. Good book, even though the guy himself is a little too much for me

   I recognized them the same, but $5,000 a month is $5,000 a month, even if the market tanks the first few years of retirement. My retirement strategy will use SOME annuities, but not all, though if I had to choose all or nothing, an annuity ensures I will NEVER be broke, I will always have $5,000/mo. Old and broke is a combination I don't want to try. Read Tony Robbins "Money"

   I highly doubt that Tony Robbins' "Money" was on David Bowie's list of his 100 favorite books. I had to read "Money", and it was crap. And David Bowie was a man of discriminating taste. Money was published in late 2014 and Bowie died two years later. He probably already knew he had cancer when Money came out, and he had made his wad decades before. Doesn't make sense, and it makes me doubt the rest of the list, which is surprisingly high in contemporary US fiction for someone with Bowie's international exposure.
