An interview with Nick Bostrom at Oxford's Future of Humanity Institute presenting his simulation argument: at least one of three propositions about posthuman civilizations and ancestor simulations must be true.
Offered as a less technical introduction to Bostrom's simulation paper.

For people actually interested in the topic rather than painfully bad pop-sci reenactments, you should read the simulation paper[1], or, for a less technical introduction, watch the video of Bostrom talking about it[2]. [1] [LINK] [2] this video
If you're interested in simulation theories, I recommend reading "The Simulation Argument" by Nick Bostrom [0] or watching his interview on Youtube [1]. [0] [LINK] [1] this video
The "Simulation Argument" by Nick Bostrom this video Even if it is true, it changes nothing. Since this is the world we have to deal with and there is no indication we can influence the (supposed) simulation. If our world/universe is a simulation, it is simply too good. I also recommend to read "The Big Picture" by Sean Carrol, chapter 11 "Is It Okay to Doubt Everything?" deals with these kinds of thought experiments (including Bostrom). The 2016 Isaac Asimov Memorial Debate was about "Is the Universe a Simulation?": [LINK]
