Used as a joke or pop-culture reference in comments about futuristic technology and talking to computers.

>> If we have the ability to computationally determine these things without any experimental data needed, and we know we're looking for a specific band structure, wouldn't we just do an automated search of possible chemistries to find everything producing said band structure? Isn't this a plot point in that one Star Trek movie (episode?) where they go back in time and program a current-day computer to do this? edit: OK, I misremembered. Was thinking of this: this video
Disclaimer: I work for an Alphabet company (but not Google itself any more). I was a die-hard iPhone supporter since I got my 3G, but switched to Android when I started at Google back in June. One of the things I like best about Android is the search bar on the home screen - I use it constantly. Half the time what I'm looking for isn't a web page per se (directions, apps, email, etc), and having search integrated into the home screen is extremely convenient. The one thing I really do miss is being able to hold down the home button to activate Siri. Saying "OK, Google" is only successful for me about 50% of the time (and I have a very standard American accent) - when it doesn't work I feel like Scotty in Star Trek IV: The One with the Whales: this video
this video Using mostly his index fingers. Suck it vim users, your editor has nothing on MOLECULAR DESIGN for System 3.0
Exactly my first thought as well. this video We're living in the 80s version of the future. We have Star Trek today.
