The official 1986 music video for Paranoimia by Art of Noise featuring the computer-generated TV personality Max Headroom. It is a synth-pop and sampling-era piece of 80s pop culture.
HN mentions it mostly as a reference point in Max Headroom threads, as the essential Art of Noise tie-in to that 80s character.

I'm surprised at how often I see adults rewatching Flight of the Navigator , even though it's very much a kid's movie. Harry and the Hendersons is particularly fun to watch now if you are a Poirot fan. Nostalgia tripping on the 1980s seems to rarely if ever include Max Headroom. To me, he was the essence of my high school zeitgeist. Maybe younger people today think he was too weird to have actually been a big deal. ( this video )
Hey, you can't talk about Max Headroom without talking about The Art of Noise. The Art of Noise (with Max Headroom) - Paranomia (1986): this video
Very well done! I like how it can exaggerate the height arbitrarily enough to make it really stand out. It would be cool to make the lines rotate and translate and scan around over the map like Max Headroom's background! this video I wonder how you could go about implementing it as a high performance shader?
