Agree wholeheartedly with the Article and will surely read the Book.

The British Royal Family are Leeches sucking the wealth of the Nation and indirectly the life of the hardworking Common Man. They have absolutely nothing to justify their existence in today's times; There is nothing there contributing to the greater good (actual) of the Society. As the article states it is a carefully managed Firm/Corporation with an excellent image building/maintaining team fooling the British Public as to its continued relevance. It is high time they are demoted to nonentities as has happened to Royals in other Countries.

Every British Citizen should read The Politics of Obedience: The Discourse of Voluntary Servitude by Étienne de La Boétie and de-legitimize the British Royal "Mafia".

And yet all three have one vote each under a Democratic system i.e. you are equivalent in that context.

The point is that when it comes to sovereignty, there can only be self-determination based on whatever accepted criteria by the people themselves.

I'm sorry to say that, but I think you totally misunderstood the message. You can not fix the most important idea of the book, coming with a lenghty tirade, if you cut half of it.

You think about and describe bullying. The ideas in the book are closer to refusing voluntary servitude - ala Boetie: http://mises.org/document/1218/The-Politics-of-Obedience-The...

"States are more vulnerable than people think. They can collapse in an instant—when consent is withdrawn" says the above article. I'd correct that and say "the productive and growing economy" instead.

Atlas Shrugged is just a story explaining that, and providing a philosophy to leave with that in mind.
