Feminism Is for Everybody
Los medios conservadores presentan a las feministas como mujeres antihombres, siempre enfadadas. Pero muy al contrario, el feminismo ha logrado mejorar la vida de todas las personas. Gracias al feminismo, todos vivimos de forma más igualitaria: en el trabajo y en casa, en nuestras relaciones sociales y sexuales. Gracias al feminismo, la violencia doméstica ya no es un secreto, se ha normalizado el uso de anticonceptivos y todos somos un poco más libres. No obstante, el feminismo quería mucho más que la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres. Cuando hablaba de hermandad entre mujeres, quería superar las fronteras de clase y raza, transformar el mundo de raíz. El feminismo es antirracista, anticlasista y antihomófobo o no merece ese nombre. Muchas mujeres blancas hacen uso del feminismo para defender sus intereses pero no mantienen este compromiso con las mujeres negras, precarias y lesbianas; eso no es feminismo. Tanto daño hace al movimiento una mujer que reproduce el sexismo como aporta un hombre feminista. El feminismo es para las mujeres y para los hombres. Necesitamos nuevos modelos de masculinidad feminista, de familia y de crianza feminista, de belleza y de sexualidad feminista. Necesitamos un feminismo renovado que explique con palabras sencillas que pretendemos superar el sexismo y colocar el apoyo mutuo en el centro. Eso es el feminismo. Y ese es el objetivo de este libro.

- I don't think it's helpful to think of "feminism" as a singular movement, the way it's often portrayed in conservative editorial writing and cable news. We're talking about 50+ years of academic scholarship and grassroots activism here, and all the complications and inconsistencies that implies.
If you're looking for something in particular to make this case for you, I recommend reading the short book Feminism is for Everybody, by bell hooks, which does specifically talk about mens issues and how what she calls the patriarchal organization of society negatively affects men in different and unique ways (compared to women).
But again, editorials - especially on the right - typically pick out the most extreme or indefensible positions and try to make them appear to be normalized and widely accepted. You're doing yourself an intellectual diservice not to really deeply interrogate the motivations and biases of any piece of media that leaves you feeling like an enormous group of people (those who consider themselves feminists) is in fact wildly irrational and extreme. It should set off alarm bells when you draw such stark lines in the sand as "any claim that feminism is for anything in regards to men, might need to be backed up with some strong cases" that you're missing some nuance or complexity.
- I'm replying to this because I can't reply to ForHackernews's comment, but this really needs to be said: "patriarchy" is most certainly NOT "vague and ill-defined to the point of meaninglessness". To say that is to dismiss decades of feminist work. If you are genuinely curious about this, the book Feminism is for Everybody (by bell hooks) is a great, accessible introduction to feminism and the (admittedly esoteric and ivory-towery) language you need to talk about it.
- Great comment. If anyone would like to learn more about feminism, I can't recommend highly enough the book "Feminism is for Everybody" by bell hooks. I find a lot of commenters here and on other sites form (strong!) opinions about feminism and sexism despite not understanding basic concepts like privilege, oppression, and intersectionality. That book is an accessible primer on those topics.

It seems like you're framing gender dynamics as a zero-sum game, where improving the situation of one results in stepbacks the other. I agree that men do face significant struggles in today's society [1], but there are ways to move forward in ways that benefit everyone [2].
