Nice and concise! I just started Proof and the Art of Mathematics by JD Hamkins[0], based on pg's recommendation[1], "is a beautiful book in both senses. It's both beautifully written, but also physically beautiful, thanks to its many illustrations, which I was surprised to hear were made by the author himself." Chapter 4 on induction improved my attitude.

Velleman's How to Prove It greatly helped my ability to construct set theoretic proofs, which better prepared me for Spivak's calculus and Baby Rudin. Hamkins' Proof and the Art of Mathematics is designed as a a good, less set-theory heavy, introduction to proof writing that leads more naturally to analysis. OpenStax books are FREE.

I recommend Proofs by Jay Cummings as an exceedingly gentle introduction of proofs. It's not as serious as your typical math textbook; it has plenty of jokes to keep you entertained. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08T8JCVF1

If you still want a gentle introduction to proofs but would prefer if the author uses a more serious tone like traditional textbooks, I recommend Proof and the Art of Mathematics by Joel Hamkins. https://www.amazon.com/dp/0262539799
