A textbook which gives a good introduction to Web Development is:

      1) Fundamentals of Web Development (Randy Connolly and Ricardo Hoar).

I have the 2nd Ed but the 3rd Ed is out and is more contemporary.

Specific books for HTML and CSS are:

      1) HTML and CSS - The Comprehensive Guide (decent contemporary introduction)

      2) CSS in Depth

      3) CSS The Definite Guide - 5th Ed - Reference

      Specific books for JavaScript.

      1) Javascript - The Comprehensive Guide (decent contemporary introduction)

      2) Eloquent JavaScript - 3rd Ed

      3) Javascipt - The Definite Guide - 7th Ed

The Complete Web Development Bootcamp in Udemy by Dr. Angela Yu is pretty good. One book I found to be good is Fundamentals of Web Development by Randy Connolly and Ricardo Hoar. The latest edition is 3rd. I looked at 2nd Ed.

Thank you for the reply, after rethinking my post I understood that the question is very imprecise but after some insight from here and another post I've been shown,I think I will start Fundamentals of Web Development 3rd Edition and decide what to do after reading that (and gaining more insight about web dev hopefully)

Currently I'm reading Python's crash course along with CLRS,planning to start reading that book after those.

Gonna need all the MOOPs I've seen here too for sure!

What are some good books or online courses to learn basic concepts and fundamentals of web development?

I can use online tutorials and chatgpt to develop and deploy a full-stack web app. It’s quite easy but also annoying that I don’t understand what I am actually doing there. It’s a bit overwhelming, where to start? can you recommend something that helped you cover this broad field of knowledge?
