   Take a look at the Design Your Life book: http://designingyour.life/the-book/ - It applies design thinking to problems like this.

   Without knowing you I'm going to make assumptions - but appears you're being quite binary about this decision. There are ways you can investigate these options in some depth (design thinking) and see what you connect with.
