Rein writes about startup finance, management, education, regulation, and energy topics such as thorium reactors.
HN commenters recommend his posts on replacing middle management with APIs and on thorium, and link his startup finance series.
The last paragraph seems particularly noteworthy:
On whether he's taken a MOOC class: "I've never made it through a complete MOOC," Thrun confessed. Much as books have been shrunk down to the size of 140 character tweets, Thrun says he expects that we'll continue to compress education.
"I believe that 50 years from now, education will be as short and sweet as Twitter is today. It will be like an evening talk. And that will be a fantastic moment."
Could this be a solution to the engagement problem in education that pkrein recently discussed:

I think it's pretty foolish that most programmers assume they will always be "working above the api".

edit: To clarify, I think AI is the wrong question it's a question of the layers of abstraction and where it puts you in the labor force. Who cares what inhuman force is telling you what to do or how fast to do it?
Adding to this, Peter Reinhardt's post on replacing middle management with APIs. Hollowing out the middle of the career ladder may have a different impact than the historical automation of entry-level jobs.

The comments in this article are odd. The process of getting a credit card for a startup is pretty bad -- see the section on "credit cards" here https://rein.pk/startup-finance-for-founders-part-i-accounting
Brex seems like a meaningful improvement over that.
I love that this is just above the post on https://rein.pk/over-regulation-is-doubling-the-cost
It's almost as if the world is complicated and every issue has multiple perspectives.
Good luck "aligning", AGI.
Congrats on hitting TC.
If you guys haven't read Peter's piece on Thorium it's worth noting that these guys aren't just about analytics: http://rein.pk/thorium-reactors/
