Ped30 is a blog covering Apple's business, market data, analyst reports, supply chain, and financial results.
HN commenters use it as a source on Apple's R&D spending, supply chain, and teen iPhone share, though one raises survey bias concerns.
83% of US teens have an iPhone according to Piper Jaffray in April 2019 [1].
That number is biased, however, as 1) it's solely based on a survey done in high schools, and not every teen will feel comfortable admitting they have something else than an iPhone 2) the surveys are performed by DECA Inc. which is more affiliated with private schools and public high schools in affluent neighborhoods.
Still, I estimate that about 3 in 4 teens (and increasing) have an iPhone, either new or a model that was previously used by a parent who bought a new one. That's huge, and iMessage plays a very big role in that.

> UPDATE: A friend of the blog dug up this press release from last December, when Apple invested a few hundred million in one of Lementum’s chief competitors: Apple awards Finisar $390 million from its Advanced Manufacturing Fund
Now, this is an Apple friendly blog; I don't know whether the two companies are truly in the same business, or whether or not Apple sales are actually slowing down, but there is a perennial pattern of analysts interpreting order cuts at a single supplier as evidence of a slowdown, and being mistaken.
I haven't seen any iPhone X 2-for-1 deals, in the US at least. Samsung's OLED production glut can't be pinned solely on Apple [0]. Most of the "Apple slashes iPhone X production forecast" rumors seem to be... unreliable at best [1] [2].

It doesn't seem like perjury is such a big deal. Nobody is arresting Tim Cook for perjuring himself in front of Congress. Clapper did it too. Sessions as well. In fact, it has become a regular occurrence. It seems you're nobody until you've lied to Congress.
A minor point, Apple's R&D spend is significantly lower as a percent of budget compared to most of the market. I found this article really interesting:
https://www.ped30.com/2019/03/10/defense-apples-14-billion-rd-budget/
Edit for context: in 2018, 11.6bn or 5.1% of revenue. Compare to Amazon it's half as many dollars and 1/3 the percent.
Thanks! I took a quick look and it doesn't seem like there's any plugins out there for grayscaling in Safari right now.
If you're talking about mobile safari though, you can do it on an OS level and toggle it by pressing the home button three times in a row - https://www.ped30.com/2018/01/13/apple-iphone-gray/
