OffGuardian is an independent site publishing contrarian commentary on COVID-19, climate, Western media, and geopolitics.
Commenters cite it in arguments about distrust of mainstream media and COVID policy, and others dispute the claims it makes.
By whom do you think they were always recommended? Because that absolutely hasn't been true for the WHO and CDC, as the links I already gave you show. The WHO has changed its position on masks, and has been in conflict with the CDC on the same topic.
That video you linked to doesn't in any way disagree with anything I've said, nor rebut the point. In fact it supports it. It's just a video of Anthony Fauci talking about why he changed his position on masks: without admitting to it directly, he 'explains' that he wanted to ensure medical workers had access to them. But he is on record as having recommended against masks in the past. Here's Snopes saying so:
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/fauci-masks-no-longer-needed/
In the March 2020 clip, Fauci said: “Right now in the United States people SHOULD NOT BE walking around with masks … You should think of healthcare providers who are needing them and the people who are ill.” (my caps)
https://thehill.com/changing-america/well-being/prevention-cures/502890-fauci-why-the-public-wasnt-told-to-wear-masks
He also acknowledged that masks were initially NOT RECOMMENDED to the general public so that first responders wouldn’t feel the strain of a shortage of PPE. (my caps)
Now many countries have introduced face mask requirements (which is dumb, but clearly a change of position).
Not only has mask advice changed but it's changed for dumb reasons: there's no scientific evidence masks work to stop SARS-CoV-2 transmission,…
Literally all RFK Jr. has to do is throw endless nonsense against the wall, doesn’t have to be consistent with itself, doesn’t have to come from real sources, and just trip up the PhD on one single issue. Then he can spike the football and claim victory. It’s an impossible setup.

Refute all 30 of these, NOW, and if you can’t then clearly you don’t know anything and RFK Jr. wins.
When you’re done we got 30 more and basically an endless supply. Doesn’t matter if you prove 99 of them wrong. If you can’t prove one wrong during a live debate we claim victory. We don’t care if you show that our arguments are inconsistent with each other, and totally impugn one of our sources. We still expect you to refute endless nonsense from that same source. Because we’re debating in bad faith.
You don’t ever get to grill JFK Jr., because he’s not the scientist, you are. It’s not a debate it’s an interrogation.
Joe Rogan berated a primatologist for telling him that no, there is not a race of 6’ tall chimps who walk upright and sleep on the ground. These are not serious people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=__CvmS6uw7E
The article implies Bellingcat are crowd funded (they only mention one kickstarter campaign from 2014) but their funding is concerning, and their investigations deeply biased. They are not at all to be trusted:
"funded by The Atlantic Council (a think-tank with deep ties to the U.S. government, NATO, war manufacturers, and their allies), and the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) (another infamous U.S. front organization heavily involved in so-called color revolution regime change operations all around the world)"
"an alleged group of amateur on-line researchers who have spent years shilling for the U.S. instigated war against the Syrian government, blaming the Douma chemical attack and others on the Assad government, and for the anti-Russian propaganda connected to, among other things, the Skripal poisoning case in England, and the downing of flight MH17 plane in Ukraine. It has been lauded by the corporate mainstream media in the west. "

> Imagine Doctors trying to debunk the official fact-checker statements and being labeled as misinformation simply due to the fact that they disagree with the fact-checker!
Though it's worth noting that MDs (and all other kinds of doctors) can be incompetent and/or batshit insane.
For instance, I had the pleasure of viewing a video where a psychiatrist leaned on his MD credential to "debunk" COVID and the efficacy and safety of the vaccine. Even ignoring his personal competency, I wouldn't be surprised if his specialty has the least qualification to speak on the topic of infectious disease of all medical specialties. Here's the video for anyone interested: https://off-guardian.org/2020/12/09/watch-ask-the-experts-covid-19-vaccine/, the guy I'm talking about is the first speaker (didn't bother with any of the others).
Edit: watching a bit more of that video, many of the other speakers emphasize being "medical doctors" and several use the odd phrase "medical pandemic." I wonder if they're reading from a script?
> When he started chlorine and barrel bombing civilians?
I would suggest to you that the world is more complicated than the soundbites vomited to you by the as of lately, largely discredited media and Obama administration.
The accusations against Assad change as necessary. It used to be Sarin, until that was disproved, for example. Bottom line, they just really want Syria to be destroyed like Iraq and Libya were, and will make up accusations as necessary. Did he drop some barrel bombs (home made bombs)? Probably. Did some of them hit civilians? Probably. The US has killed it's share of civilians also, hasn't it?
You don't know anything, but you want a nuclear war with Russia. Seems appropriate.

Time magazine once bragged on its cover how the US helped Yeltsin win the election: https://off-guardian.org/2018/02/19/yanks-to-the-rescue-times-not-so-secret-story-of-how-american-advisers-helped-yeltsin-win-the-1996-presidential-election/
He was essentially Russia's Trump although a) probably a lot more in America's pocket than vice versa and b) it's difficult to overstate how much Russia suffered under him. They suffered enormously in the 90s - quality of life and life expectancies declined enormously.
Now, if you imagine an alcoholic Trump who has wreaked massive havoc on the economy, driving Americans into poverty going on a state visit to Russia and fawning over, for example, a caviar tasting... how would you interpret that?
