Mind the Product is a product management community and conference organizer publishing articles on building products, working with engineers, and user feedback.
HN links it for talks and essays on product management and UX, such as the Google Glass prototyping talk; commenters mention its conference and training with little firsthand opinion.
Haven't seen anyone post this yet (seemed helpful last month) so will jump in with a summary of startup/developer job boards from around the world, most of them are broadly recruiter free:
NB: Max Masnick has a big round up of developer jobs boards here:

I was watching a video yesterday of the founder giving a talk in August, I think it's pretty impressive what they have done in a year with a small team. http://www.mindtheproduct.com/2015/10/video-hardware-vs-software-product-management/
I think they should release more details of the OS. Is it Linux with some Android runtime like Jolla, or AOSP fork?
I just don't personally know if I could stomach a UI that looks like a shroom trip, but maybe it feels good when you're actually using it. At least it's different
I saw another cloud based android phone recently, Robin - http://arstechnica.co.uk/gadgets/2015/09/ex-android-and-htc-employees-launch-robin-a-cloud-first-smartphone/. Call me old school but I am not sure I want cloud as the only storage option, definitely not from a new company who might not be around in a years time.

I've heard nonspecific good things about Mind the Product as a conference. They also do trainings. I know nothing about their quality.

If you don't mind sparing a day and £550, maybe go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/communication-alignment-for-product-managers-training-workshop-london-tickets-69000242583?
Otherwise, see about joining the London chapter of https://www.meetup.com/ProductTank/events/ ?
You raise a good point, but it doesn't mean the OP is wrong. There is an inflection point where, even if the software was originally designed with a target user (persona) in mind, the features that keep getting added are designed for the buyer. It is impossible to design software that works for wide set of personas.
Melissa Perri calls it the Build Trap: https://www.mindtheproduct.com/escaping-build-trap-melissa-perri/
