Afroman's music video for a song about police damaging his door, built from home security footage of an officers' raid on his house.
Referenced in stories about the raid and the lawsuit as the source video, showing the footage and his response.

It's worth watching the original video, it shows the officers damaging his property, eating his cake and doing various other questionable things this video
The teen should make a music video of the footage to help raise funds for their legal defense, as Afroman did with hits like Lemon Pound Cake ( [LINK] ) and Will You Help Me Repair My Door ( this video ). The right to record the police in public is well established now, and the claims the police are making (that technically Nathan Winter of the Newton Police Department is not a "convicted" domestic abuser, he's just an "accused" domestic abuser with a judge issuing a protective order against him) seem more likely to defame them than a brief caption in the teen's posted arrest video.
I'm sympathetic to his situation, but he may be in danger of another lawsuit, this one with some merit. Unless he licensed it, he seems to have stolen almost the exact melody from the 1977 song "What a Difference You've Made in My Life"[1]. Here's the Ronnie Milsap version of "What a Difference...": [LINK] And here's Afroman's "Will You Help Me Repair My Gate": this video --- [1] [LINK]
Can someone tell me about the person dressed in full camo gear and sporting an assault rifle during the raid? Do police departments outsource some of their work to third party contractors for raids like this? Is this person part of some local militia? Shot of the person I'm talking about at 2m11s [0]. > I claim that Afroman is a criminal. At 1:44 his own video ( this video ) says "well, I know why narcotics" regarding the warrant. So I think he'd be OK with that statement of opinion . If that was defamation, warrants like the one in this case are defamatory, having asserted he kidnapped someone.
