A one-minute clip of John McCain singing 'Bomb bomb Iran' to the tune of a Beach Boys song at a 2007 campaign event.
Cited critically as an example of casual American hawkishness toward Iran.

McCain himself points that out: this video I remember him for that one but also for advocating the permanent military presence, like South Korea, going forward in Iraq. [LINK] I'm somewhat surprised that HN seems to have such a hardon for the man, and every negative comment is being downvoted / flagged. I remember pretty clearly how Obama-obsessed the tech world was in 2008, and even Family Guy did a "we're not saying he's a nazi but nazis support him" routine: [LINK] What happened to make the HN crowd change their opinion (did McCain fight back against software patents at some point despite being a self-admitted computer illiterate?), or was it always glowing and the subject just didn't come up?
Meanwhile, it's perfectly OK for Netanyahu to keep threatening to bomb Iran: [LINK] It's perfectly OK for the US/Israel to attack Iran's industrial infrastructure with a virus: [LINK] (an act that Obama said would be an "act of war" if done to the US) It's perfectly OK for Israel to kill Iranian nuclear scientists: [LINK] And it's perfectly OK for people like John McCain (who came this >< close to becoming POTUS) to sing about bombing Iran: this video But hey, Ahmedinajad says one sentence that's dubiously translated, and that's not OK.
Obama did the Iran nuclear deal to start a peace process. You're mistaking him with GWB and McCain, who famously sang Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran on stage: this video
Here is what Iranians see from major American presidential candidates considered to be "highly respected on both sides of the aisle": this video
