The first episode of Milton Friedman's 1980 Free To Choose series, on how markets and voluntary exchange organize economic activity and the price system. It includes visits to Hong Kong, the U.S. and Scotland and a panel discussion with critics.
Commenters say it made market economics click for them and find it an interesting documentary relevant to welfare and UBI debates.

It took me a long time to grasp market economics. I knew it worked somehow but I didn't quite understand why. What really made it click was Milton Friedman's "Free to Choose" TV series[0]. [0] this video
That is also a fantastic comparison point. The same ideal is part of the idea behind UBI replacing the social welfare bureaucracy. I found this documentary "Freedom to choose" to be really interesting: this video
"There are no solutions, only trade-offs" 100% based Sowell. I first heard him debate when watching Milton Friedman's "Free to Choose" series (found here: this video ) and immediately got his books.
