A five-minute CG sci-fi short film by Danil Krivoruchko, based on Peter Watts's novel Blindsight. It follows a revived crew member recalling a first contact mission, and took four years to make with artists worldwide.
Shared as a fan-made teaser for Blindsight in threads about the novel or alien intelligence.

In addition to all the other recommendations, I recommend Blindsight. You can buy it where all good books are sold, or the author also gives it away on his website ( [LINK] ) but considers it good form to send a donation his way if you enjoy it. Some fans of the book put together a short teaser trailer for it: this video
this video This is notably also adored by Watts [LINK] In case you want to fall down into the rabbit hole then [LINK] Now I just wish that some serious producer like Nolan would get a hint.
There's a fan-made short film/trailer for Blindsight : this video Also, "just an AI probe" and "It would be amazing" in the context of Blindsight ... <insert mad laughter>.
