Adam Something argues that the Hyperloop is impractical, covering the costs and engineering problems of running trains in a near vacuum compared with conventional rail and metros. The description admits some wrong numbers in the original cut.
Cited as a concise critique of Hyperloop feasibility whenever the idea comes up.

Hyperloop is very much a con job. "Full Self Driving is just a year away" is very much a con job. The cybertruck is a con job. The Tesla Semi is a con job. The tesla robot is a con job. But one of the biggest issues I've seen regarding the hyperloop is the near vacuum costing and polluting more than a conventional metro, let alone being slower to shuffle total people than a metro, and more overall more expensive than a metro. For reference: [0] this video While this isn't explicitly about the hyperloop, it gives a good similar line with relation to the hyperloop [1] [LINK]
> When does the next hyperloop leave SF for Tokyo? Never, the whole world has been building more efficient and cost-effective transportation such as high speed rail. Some details by Adam Something on the technology itself: "The HYPERLOOP Will Never Work, And Here's Why" < this video >
