I recommend an (old) book by Thouless called "Straight and Crooked Thinking" if you can get your hands on a copy.

It goes through a list of "dishonest" debate techniques (not necessarily relying on fallacies) and possible techniques to disarm them.

If you can get your hands on it, I highly recommend an old book by (Robert?) Thouless called: "Straight and crooked thinking", which identifies the form of several common disingenuous argumentation techniques, brings out the fallacy or dishonest rhetorical device employed, and suggestions on how to counter them (or at least spot them more easily).

The best resource I have found is a fantastic old book - Straight and Crooked Thinking[1]

I'm not sure we always want 'works'. Sometimes different 'expressions' of the same work are different enough that they don't have the same value.

For example, compare the most recent edition of 'Straight and crooked thinking' with the one published in 1930.

Straight and Crooked Thinking. New editions aren't by the original author.
