Vas3k writes long illustrated explainers on computational photography, machine learning, AR, and home automation, plus pieces on teams and tooling.
Commenters recommend his computational photography and machine learning articles as clear, relaxed overviews, and praise the old-school site. One notes another company copied an article.
you can already do that without hacking anything, Spotify exposes that information through Apple Script:
if application "Spotify" is running then
tell application "Spotify"
if player state is playing then
return (get artist of current track) & " - " & (get name of current track)
else
return ""
end if
end tell
end if

You can also install a collection of scripts from here: https://goldenchaos.net/goldenchaos-btt.html
You will need Better Touch Tool for that: https://folivora.ai/
True, for any non hobbyist, smartphone is more than sufficient.
You take some pictures, do some editing, and post them to family Whatsapp group or Instagram. Mission accomplished. All done on the same pocketable gadget. Let's how the fancier Sony A7 RIV or Hasselblad XD handle that :)
You want bokeh, long exposure, HDR, etc? Smartphones are obviously won't compete in image sensor size, but they have powerful CPU. Say hello to computational photography: https://vas3k.com/blog/computational_photography/

I don't know if this was recently appended but at the end of the article there is this:

Let's Enhance team is very thankful for given materials.
Granted I still agree it's a blatant copy/paste and I also vote that dang replaces the link with the original.
I find the Touch Bar to be a brilliant idea, but the released execution didn't live up to the potential.

Interesting idea, but I've found that making my own custom static touchbar has been the most useful way to use this hardware. Followed this article: http://vas3k.com/blog/touchbar/
I personally have a mix of app launchers, brightness/volume controls and a play/pause button.
Usually I don’t mind reposting my articles but with a direct reference to original at the beginning https://vas3k.com/blog/computational_photography/
Let’s be respectful to the original author, I spent couple of months writing it:(
