Rui Carmo, a Portuguese technologist, writes the Tao of Mac about Macs, ARM boards, Linux, and tech in Portugal.
HN commenters call him a source of good advice and link his Mac switching guide and notes on running Linux on small devices.
Maybe not "daily", but very frequently: here is a small selection of some of the small sites on my newsblur newsfeed list: [0]

This should run most of the existing Ubuntu and Android images without any hassle. Having owned an ODROID-U2 for a long while now, I can tell you that these things run Ubuntu 14.04 like a dream (except for the lack of OpenGL - you only get ES) and Android works great:

(Mine is now running Ubuntu only, and the only gripe I have is that the kernel currently lacks enough group support to run Docker - that's only a recompile away, but I like my uptime...)
To be clear (because I was wondering why all these commands were required), installing a version of Ubuntu on your phone just requires Complete Linux Installer http://the.taoofmac.com/space/blog/2013/03/30/2107 (and busybox and loopback filesystem etc.)
This post is specifically about creating a new image from scratch to use with the Complete Linux Installer rather than using the ones that are provided for download in the app.
I've been looking at MEO Cloud[1]. It's by Sapo.pt, a part of Portugal Telecom. I first saw it recommended by Rui Carmo of Tao of Mac[2], who I've generally thought offers good advice. (He also is Portuguese...) And, they offer a Linux download unlike most other alternatives.

Netgrowl is a Python library: http://the.taoofmac.com/space/Projects/netgrowl
Here's an example I threw together: http://tlrobinson.net/blog/2008/09/01/adding-growl-notifications-to-facebook/
The OP obviously never read this: http://the.taoofmac.com/space/HOWTO/Switch
(Covers all his gripes and a few more - the bit about Alt-Tab and some of the Quicksilver tips are amazing)
