Twitter's status page posted outage and service issue notices, running on Tumblr and later left unmaintained.
HN comments mention it mainly when Twitter is down, noting its broken certificate, its claim of being operational, and that it was quietly deprecated.
Worth noting Twitter’s status page claims it is “operational” and no events are listed under history section for past 180-days, which is obviously wrong:
* Not to mention the SSL certificate appears to be expired too.

EDIT-01: Appears there’s a status page just for the API:
EDIT-02: Wow, Twitter is using Twitter to post status updates:

No official comment (yet).
Edit: Here we go -
Brief service issue 14 minutes ago
Between 19:05 and 19:29 PST today, some users may have experienced issues viewing and sending Tweets on twitter.com and Twitter’s mobile apps.
Traffic was redirected away from the components that were experiencing problems, and the issue has now been resolved.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
That workaround didn't work for me.
Auth from either / or /logout both come back with:
"Twitter is currently down for maintenance.
We expect to be back shortly. For more information, check out Twitter Status. Thanks for your patience!"
I first noticed this when the mobile app (Android) notified me of an auth error.
Still no word on http://status.twitter.com/
> Typically you'd want your status page hosted on different infra too, so it doesn't go down when your main infra does, or even easier, out with a SaaS provider. There are a bunch who provide this.
There's a https://status.twitterstat.us/ (redirected from http://status.twitter.com) that should serve that purpose, but it displays even less information
Their status page has been reporting the wrong certificate all weekend: https://status.twitter.com/
It has also rotated through various content (404 page, etc) which suggests someone has been fruitlessly trying to resolve the problem. Rebuilding their internal knowledge about "how to run this Twitter thing" is going to be an adventure for those left.
... Wait, so they _have_ a working one... but https://status.twitter.com, which has been the status location for about a decade, has had a broken cert for months?
Is there anyone left working there at all, or is it just Elon roaming the empty corridors as Jason Calacanis follows him telling him how marvellous he is?
