      Spacelift | Remote | Europe/US | Full-time | Software/Security/Solutions Engineers | $50-120k
Stack: Go, AWS, PostgreSQL, Terraform, IaC, React, GraphQL

We’re a VC-funded startup building an automation platform for Infrastructure-as-Code, adding a Policy-as-Code layer above it, in order to make IaC usable in bigger companies, where you have to take care of state consistency, selective permissions, a usable git flow, etc.

On the backend we're using 100% Go with AWS primitives. We're looking for backend developers who like doing DevOps'y stuff sometimes (because in a way it's the spirit of our company), or have experience with the cloud native ecosystem. Ideally you'd have experience working with an IaC tool, i.e. Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, CloudFormation, or SaltStack.

For security engineers we’re looking for Europe-based people with hands-on experience in security systems, with emphasis on AWS and containers. Familiar with SOC2 Type II guidelines and controls. Willing and able to understand the architecture of the product, and take part in designing it in order to make it secure, and let our clients trust us as little as possible. In exchange we offer work on a product where security is not just an afterthought, but an integral part of it.

For solutions engineers we’re looking for people based in Europe or the US experienced with software development, having great communication skills, and having an understanding of concepts and technologies in infrastructure as code.…

      Spacelift | Remote | Europe/US | Full-time | Solutions/Sales Engineers | $50-120k

For solutions engineers we’re looking for people based in Europe or the US experienced with software development, having great communication skills, and having an understanding of concepts and technologies in infrastructure as code. Experience with pre-sales/sales engineering would be a plus. You’ll get to work with a technical product, and customers which themselves are developers, helping them get the most out of Spacelift, as well as write technical content to help people use Spacelift and Infrastructure as Code tools.

We promise interesting work, the ability to open source parts of the project which don’t give us a business advantage, as well as sane working hours.

If that sounds like fun to you, apply at https://spacelift.io/careers.html or email me at julita at spacelift dot io!

      PS: Fear not, no whiteboarding!

None of these are a replacement of Terraform Cloud (recently rebranded to HCP Terraform). For example, when you create a PR, it could affect multiple workspaces. The new experimental version of TFC/TFE (I refuse to call it HCP!) implements Stacks, which is something like a workflow, and links one workspace output to other workspace inputs. None of the open-source solutions, including the paid Digger [0], support this - only the paid one, such as Spacelift [1] (which is the closest to TFC if you ask me). Having a monorepo of Terraform is a common design pattern, so, if I change an embedded module, it could trigger changes it many workspaces. As far as I know, Atlantis [2] can't really help in this case.

By the way, the reason I singled-out Spacelift is due to its quality, and the great Terraform provider it has. Scalr [3], for example, has a really low-quality Terraform provider. I extensively use the hashicorp/tfe provider to manage TFC itself.

Spacelift | Backend and frontend roles | Warsaw, PL | ONSITE OR REMOTE (CET) | Fulltime | $50-120k per annum | https://spacelift.io/

We are building an automation platform for infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code and are looking to onboard a single senior frontend developer as well as multiple backend developers.

On the frontend, we have a standard modern React app (only functional components) interacting with a GraphQL API using Apollo Client.

On the backend, we're mainly using Go with a bunch of cloud APIs and AWS primitives. Perfect backend candidates will have a strong interest in DevTools, DevOps and infrastructure. Previous working experience with Terraform (ideally), Ansible, CloudFormation or SaltStack more than welcome.

Apply at marcinw at spacelift dot io.

Kind of a shameless plug but it's hard not to with such a title.

Make sure to check out Spacelift[0]. It’s a CI/CD specialized in Infra as Code. Terraform/OpenTofu are first-class citizens and it brings advanced customizability with cross-statefile dependencies, OPA-policies (not just for access control, but e.g. customizing your gitops flow) and others.

      The pricing is reasonable, too.

Disclaimer: I work at Spacelift, but I do legitimately think it's a great product and recommend it.
