Embark Studios, a Swedish game developer, writes about using Rust in game development, rendering, tooling, and open-source projects.
Commenters cite it as evidence of Rust use at a game studio, with posts on Rust at Embark and rendering, while debating how much of their games use Rust.
Mozilla gave up on Firefox with lots of completly useless activities burning their bank accounts, Rust suffered by association.
Here, Embark new game engine in Rust hasn't gone anywhere,

It even got a new release quite recently,
"we here at Embark been using this for over a year in production now for our Creative Playground & custom Rust engine that uses Vulkan, and hope it can be of use for more developers as we continue to build it out."

Yes they are also using Unreal for other titles, plenty of studios have more than one engine.

> This is why no one has successfully done a major game on Rust. The foundations are too weak to support it.
The Finals open beta is happening on the 6th. Check it out https://www.reachthefinals.com/
Here is a blog post about their usage of Rust: https://medium.com/embarkstudios/inside-rust-at-embark-b82c06d1d9f4
The Finals is an Unreal based game, not Rust, you can see the Unreal logo on their homepage:
https://www.reachthefinals.com/
They have a Rust game:

Which maybe be using their PhysX bindings but it's not The Finals
Embark Studio has a great blog post about this.
