Tom Fishburne draws business cartoons about marketing, advertising, and corporate buzzwords.
HN mostly links it for the 'AI Written, AI Read' cartoon, which commenters call a favorite and a classic and share whenever AI-generated text comes up.
It is like https://marketoonist.com/2023/03/ai-written-ai-read.html being written down at length.
I do agree with the fact, that this is an annoying phenomenon. It took me a while to understand that there are people who are not just using LLM to write these style of emails, but those people are the source of the training data for LLMs.
The solution is "simple", to move aways from such people and stick to genuine communicators.
> I’d argue that a well-written email is one that doesn’t require a summary.
I strongly agree. This echoes the cartoon about using LLMs to write and then summarize emails (https://marketoonist.com/2023/03/ai-written-ai-read.html).
If someone doesn't care enough about my time to compose a well-written email, with a tl;dr at the top if necessary, then I see no reason to care about what they've generated.
I'm sure lots of "readers" of such articles fed it to another AI model to summarize it, thereby completely bypassing the usual human experience of writing and then careful (and critical) reading and parsing of the article text. I weep for the future.
Also, reminds me of this cartoon from March 2023. [0]

Not a defense of Musk but no AI can or ever will be bias free. The techno oligarchs will always tune their deamon children into their own image.

This was a very common meme two years ago when ChatGPT was released.
It's fine to see Thomas catching up with the times, but two pages of writing seems a bit overkill, imo.
Edit: Found it, https://marketoonist.com/2023/03/ai-written-ai-read.html ... and yeah two years ago to the date, always right :).
> No human wrote it, no humans will read it.
The is probably going to be true for other types of documents as well, such as business emails. See this article: https://marketoonist.com/2023/03/ai-written-ai-read.html
