LessWrong is a community blog on rationality, AI alignment and decision-making, with essays on topics like Moloch, modesty and a crypto autopsy.
HN links it for AI alignment and fast takeoff arguments, Goodhart's Law, and a post on why the LW crowd missed out on Bitcoin.
This is an example of a political comment that could be okay with some extra care.
Here's where your comment goes off the rails:
>> "Trump Derangement Syndrome is real."
You've condensed an entire article into a single catchphrase that signals a certain political lean and causes people to circle the wagons around their strongly held views. It would likely lead to a huge, boring demon thread (https://www.lesserwrong.com/posts/BZtAavpsy9WtMYgEL/demon-threads) without someone commenting on it in as civil a way as possible.
The article could do without the swipe. Your comment could do without the slogan.
Some guy wrote a taxonomy of Goodhart's Law cases. This would be the "Adversarial Goodhart" case: "When you optimize for a proxy, you provide an incentive for adversaries to correlate their goal with your proxy, thus destroying the correlation with your goal."

> Ironically if you draw a Venn diagram (...)
Actually, this turns out to be not true.

The LW crowd was among the earliest people who were aware of Bitcoin, and utterly failed to exploit it for some reason.
