Koyeb's engineers write about building their serverless deployment platform, covering Firecracker, Nomad, service meshes, eBPF, and debugging.
Commenters praise Koyeb's affordable GPU instances and its sandbox tutorials, and one reader found its write-up on moving away from Kubernetes interesting.

As an app backend guy, it's always fun to dive into infrastructure stuff like this that I know little about. Naively, it looks like they pieced together some K8s alternatives. I saw they wrote about why they moved away from K8s here: https://www.koyeb.com/blog/the-koyeb-serverless-engine-from-kubernetes-to-nomad-firecracker-and-kuma.
Usually when blog posts like these come out other K8s practitioners say their K8s was just misconfigured.
Would love to see more opinions from K8s folks on the assumptions & design decisions.
This war was over around about the time I started, but my take on it is that it's all a bit intermixed and Mercurial lost because bitbucket caved and did git hosting [2], but git won beacuse of github and heroku [1][2]

Here's a few besides Heroku I'm keeping an eye on:

Co-Founder of Koyeb [1] here, we provide an alternative that you might want to check.
