Benjamin Yoskovitz, a Montreal entrepreneur, writes about startup funding, lean startup methods, SaaS lessons, and small exits.
HN links it for startup advice and Yoskovitz's posts, with commenters calling him approachable and pointing to his writing on MVPs.
I like it. However, I found a site that breaks it: http://www.instigatorblog.com/the-art-and-science-of-the-small-exit/2009/02/04/ ... When I click my 'Readability' bookmarklet in Chrome, the main article is removed completely, and all that's left is the blog entry's comments. Here is the exact Readability bookmarklet I'm using:
javascript:(function(){
readStyle='style-newspaper';
readSize='size-medium';
readMargin='margin-medium';
_readability_script=document.createElement('SCRIPT');
_readability_script.type='text/javascript';
_readability_script.src='http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/js/readability-0.1.js?x='+(Math.random());
document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(_readability_script);
_readability_css=document.createElement('LINK');
_readability_css.rel='stylesheet';
_readability_css.href='http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/css/readability.css';
_readability_css.type='text/css';
document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(_readability_css);
_readability_print_css=document.createElement('LINK');
_readability_print_css.rel='stylesheet';
_readability_print_css.href='http://lab.arc90.com/experiments/readability/css/readability-print.css';
_readability_print_css.media='print';
_readability_print_css.type='text/css';
document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(_readability_print_css);
})();
Some hypotheses missing from Daniel's list:
o customer problem or need
o symptoms that indicate customer problem or need
o description of benefits that customer will understand
o features to support benefits / solution customer will accept

which begins:
Asking a friend, "What do you think of my idea?" is almost completely useless.
Asking a friend (or someone else who isn’t as biased as your friend,
"Do you have this problem, and how painful is it?" is a much more useful query.
the government is spending your tax dollars already
They should be spending a lot less of them, shouldn't they?

I mean, what business would ever be allowed to spend money endlessly without thought to income? Why do we let the government do it?
Besides, we already have angel funding, ycombinator, venture capital, self funding, debt funding, crowd funding, etc.

We should not be taking tax money by force from some to fund the next facebook.
Talk to Benjamin Yosko => http://www.instigatorblog.com. He is very approachable, lives/works in Montreal, and recently sold his startup. Tell him Captain Recruiter says hello.
Reminds me of how Jason Becker now composes music after his battle with ALS: http://www.instigatorblog.com/jason-becker-and-the-power-of-technology/2014/01/29/
kinda weird foundread just cut and pasted it without adding anything.
