Algorithmia, a company selling algorithms as a service, wrote about machine learning for developers and its own products.
HN links it for machine learning tutorials, NLP overviews, and its Ethereum smart contract for model validation, which one commenter says is real ML on a blockchain.

Ok, so 99.5% of the time anything about Blockchain and AI is going to be nonsense. (Aside - this is an interesting application of Bayes law!)
One thing that wasn't, and was actual machine learning and was actual blockchain was the Algorithmia competition[1]. It's pretty interesting how it works, and wasn't an entirely stupid idea (faint praise I know, but most ideas in both AI and blockchain are).

It is a data flywheel. There are scenarios that the autopilot can't handle yet. So, having a human behind the wheel enables the transition between where we are now (computers driving 95% of the time) to where we need to get (computers driving 100%).

1. You can download the dataset using http://hn.algolia.com/api. Mind the rate-limits, though.
2. This has already been done quite a few times by various apps, most prominently here: http://algorithmia.com/demo/hn (http://blog.algorithmia.com/post/86295023534/algorithmic-tagging-of-hackernews-or-any-other-site)
The OP is pushing "Algorithmica" whose manifesto is here: http://blog.algorithmia.com/post/75680476188/algorithm-development-is-broken
and this doesn't really strike me as much of a victory for the idea that it's just the implementation of an algorithm being the sticking point in practice.
Algorithmia also just launched its own smart contract for ML model validation. Two's a trend ;)
