The team behind Wunderlist, a to-do app, posts about its startup, funding, hiring, product launches, and open-source work.
HN commenters mostly mention Wunderlist as a cross-platform, free, open-source to-do app, and as an example of a Titanium-built app.
Hey Chris,
On wunderlist.com we support back to FF16, anything older will trigger the upgrade your browser screen. Our reasoning for this is that the ESR for firefox is currently at FF17. It didn't make sense for us to try support (by support I mean try and get a modern web app to run on it) a version so out of date that even mozilla is not supporting it. It also helps get users out of old version that don't auto-update, or in the case of FF, a version that will never receive security updates.
If you are just looking for the download links for the native apps, you can always go to http://www.6wunderkinder.com/wunderlist which doesn't have the browser restrictions, and update screens that are present in the web app.

For a titanium example I recommend Wunderlist. It is used by millions of people on multiple platforms, I use it everyday and it works well. Moreover Wunderlist is a good example for hackers because it is open source: https://github.com/6wunderkinder/wunderlist

One caveat, I'm not sure how many of the current apps (there are 5 versions with an addtional blackberry app in private beta.) still uses Titanium, and Wunderlist has been ported to platforms that are not supported by Titanium. However I know that the first few releases did use Titanium.
Like Appcelerator's Titanium? [1]
Doesn't exactly create very "classic" Cocoa apps, but considering the App Store, Lion etc, that seems to be the way that Mac Apps are going anyway, i.e. looking like you were born on the web or on an ipad won't hurt your sales that much, if at all. (Not too fond of that myself, but well…)
Look at Wunderlist as one example[2].

My wife is a bit of a to-do list snob, and she likes the way it works for her.
Best of all, no waiting for a beta.
